Kerowyn hummed happily to herself as she changed the sheets of the guest bedroom. It had been so long since Ana had had any sort of company over to stay the night. She had a nice dinner planned for the evening: a lovely stew with yorkshire puddings, steamed cabbage, a lovely red wine she'd picked out.

Yes, it would be a fine evening for Ana and her gentleman friend, she thought to herself.

There was a knock at the door and Kerowyn smiled to herself as she bustled to open it.

Rescue Mission

"I want CCTV footage from the last known location of his phone. Use that to find any coverage we have of him," Anthea ordered and several minions turned to thier computers.

She turned to the next group, "I'm forwarding you the recording of the conversation I had with him. Most likely the culprits are members of either or both of the Salvatore and Akelmad families but I don't want to rule out the chance that this is someone trying to frame them and draw our attention elsewhere. I want copies of everything we have relating to them. They said to back off so something we're doing is getting too close for comfort. Let's find out what."

She turned to Agents Goodall and Carlson. "I want you to prep the rescue teams. I don't know what we'll be going up against yet so let's prep for the worst. At best we'll have a week, but I highly doubt we'll even have that."

((I'm not sure how hard/easy of a rescue (aka how moronic you want the bad guys to have been about the kidnapping) so I'll hold off until you tell me whether we find CCTV footage and a nice trail to thier hideout or not.))

Sister, Sister

The booth was in the back, shielded from prying eyes and ears. Anthea got there first, she always did prefer to be early, and she took the seat facing the door and told the waiter she'd be waiting for the second member of her party to order.

She was, admittedly, nervous but she was also not allowing herself to hope for it to go well. Despite the "emotional text" Mycroft claimed to have gotten from The Woman, Anthea had no real way of knowing what had convinced her to come.

An hour, she had.

She wasn't entirely convinced they'd make it 15 minutes.

This Time

Anthea skipped ahead to the report from the IT department as soon as it popped up in her emails. Intelligence had already reported to her: they had nothing on this guy, he was a ghost. But the report from IT was just a tad more optimistic. He'd uploaded an tiny little application. They likely wouldn't have even noticed it if they hadn't been doing a full scan of the system. And this tiny little application had a tiny little exploit in it.

She sent out the necessary emails to get the trap set up... This guy might be a ghost, but he'd left them the means to track him and she had every intention of doing just that.

.oO***Oo.

"We're ready, Anthea," Brown told her.

"The dummy network?"

"All set up. He won't even know he's not looking at the real thing," he assured her.

Anthea glanced at the laptop, currently sitting in a golden mesh cage that would block all signals to and from it. She nodded her head once. "Then let's open the cage and let him walk right in," she smirked.

This time they'd get him. This time.

Anthea stared at her phone hopefully. There was no reason to expect an answer any time soon. She'd put out a call, one only The Woman would be able to interpret correctly, but that didn't mean that she would respond (immediately or otherwise) or that she'd even gotten it.

It was a simple message, a request to meet and nothing more.

To include anything else would have been to dangerous and far more difficult to encode than it was worth. It was a risk to allow a meeting with The Woman on her own terms rather than Anthea's, but if Anthea wanted her (her sister, her family) to listen... Well, it would be best The Woman was in a good mood.

She fingered the copy of the file Mycroft had given her. She doubted it would convince Irene (these things were all too easily faked), but hopefully it would buy her enough time to... To what, exactly? Explain? Funny story, as it turns out... I'm your long lost sister and Mycroft's been sitting on this knowledge for two years. Hilarious, right?! Ha Ha Ha ha.

No. Just... no.

Anthea allowed herself thirty more seconds of staring at her phone then she would return to work. Thirty seconds.
